Workplace Violence and Safety Planning Workshop

Tuesday, October 20, 2026 · 9:00am to 4:30pm

Gig Harbor Self Defense, 3226 Harborview Dr, Unit 8, Gig Harbor, WA 98332

Washington requires every employer to have a written accident prevention program, and most businesses have one that says nothing about violence or threats. Large companies hire a safety manager to fix that. This workshop is for everyone else.

One working day, in a small room, where you build your own documents with help. Not a lecture. You will be writing and learning all day.

You leave with:

  • A written coverage determination showing which rules apply to you
  • A hazard assessment of your actual building
  • The violence section of your written safety program, drafted
  • A threat assessment team charter with your people named in it
  • A one-page referral pathway your staff can follow
  • A twelve-month training calendar with owners and dates
  • A ninety-day implementation plan
  • A follow-up group call thirty days later

Lunch, snacks, refreshments, and your working binder are included. The first ten companies to enroll also receive one year of the SafeCulture360 threat assessment and reporting tool, normally $2,997 a year.

$897 for the first seat, $497 for a second person from the same company. Seating is limited.

Taught by Theresa Norris, Board Certified Workplace Violence and Threat Specialist.
